We are so glad you are here! Here you will be heard, supported, and connected with a community of siblings who “get it” and are walking a similar path.

Katie Marshall with Adam Encrapera

ASI Sibling Support Coordinator, Katie Marshall

My name is Katie Marshall and I am the Sibling Support Coordinator for Alström Syndrome International. I am an ASI Sibling and I live in Texas, USA. I am the youngest of 2 sisters, Rocky and Callie. My sister Callie had Alström for 28 years and passed away in July of 2024. I have grown up as a sibling of Alström for all of my life and I understand the struggles that we face. Growing up with a sibling with high medical needs is a challenge and can often leave us “normal” kids feeling unseen. My goal as the sibling support coordinator is to provide resources and support to other siblings as well as parents to help us all navigate the obstacles we face in the fight against Alström.

Please reach out in the contact form at the bottom of the page for anything and we will get back to you very soon!
